Extreme Self Care
What is Extreme Self Care?
Extreme Self Care (or ESC for short) means taking the best possible care of yourself each and every day. You maybe thinking, I don’t have time to take care of myself. I have so many other obligations. My kids, my spouse, my job, my friends, my pets. What I want you to do is image you are traveling on an airplane and before the jet takes off the flight attendants go through the safety announcements and instruct you to “Put Your Oxygen Mask on First Before Helping Others” It’s the same logic with Extreme Self Care. You can not help others unless you are able to breathe yourself. My Treat for you this month is to create your own Extreme Self Care routine by Day, Week, Month and Year Extreme Self Care practice. Here are a few ideas to get you started. Daily Extreme Self Care * Taking 20 minutes each morning to plan my day. * Allowing myself time to “power down” before going to bed (no tv, laptop, texting, social media updates) Weekly Extreme Self Care * Reading something just for fun * Going to my favorite exercise class; Power Yoga, Tabata, Weight Lifting, Boot Camp Monthly Extreme Self Care * Having dinner with friends * Getting a massage Annual Extreme Self Care * Going on a relaxing rejuvenating vacation which allows me to “unplug” (little to no technology) * Attending my favorite concert Get the idea! Ready to get started. You can add as many things to your Extreme Self Care practice as you want. The more the better. Need help creating your ESC practice contact me to schedule an individual coaching session. Its so important to ramp up your Extreme Self Care practice this time of year, as the leaves start to fall, stress levels start to increase with end of the year deadlines, holiday planning, shopping, traveling and family events. What I want for you is to have many treats this holiday season with the first being the gift of Extreme Self Care. Get started today with a coaching session to make your Extreme Self Care practice perfect for YOU. Remember is you don’t take care of your Body, Mind and Spirit no one else will. Warmly, Coach Sarah
